Position Overview:


We’re hiring Home Services Technician Level I & II to support year-round maintenance and care throughout Powder Mountain and its Homeowners Association (HOA). This position plays a critical role in the beauty, safety, and function of our community—handling landscaping, fire mitigation, and general upkeep in the summer, and snow removal and hazard prevention in the winter.

The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-minded, adaptable to mountain conditions, and takes pride in contributing to a well-maintained, welcoming environment for residents and guests alike.


Year Round Responsibilities:

  • Hazard Identification: Monitor and reduce risks such as ice buildup, drainage issues, and obstructed access
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and use PPE correctly in challenging mountain terrain
  • Adaptability: Assist with emergency tasks or extra snow clearing during major weather events or staffing shifts
  • Communication & Reporting: Keep supervisors informed about conditions, safety concerns, progress, and equipment needs
  • Team Support: Collaborate with team members on snow clearing and maintenance across shared spaces
  • Guest Interaction: Provide friendly greetings, answer questions, and offer help to residents and guests
  • General Maintenance: Perform basic repairs, upkeep, and special projects as needed throughout the HOA

Summer Responsibilities:

  • Perform landscaping duties including but not limited to mowing, trimming, and conduct general maintenance and upkeep of community spaces and buildings.
  • Fire Mitigation: Identify and execute fire mitigation strategies in compliance with both Weber County and Utah laws. This will include brush clearing, creating and maintaining defensible space, removal of dead trees and pine duff, ect.
  • Weed Mitigation: Apply pesticide, hand pull, and or weed whack a variety of weeds including Dyer’s Woad and other noxious weeds.

Winter Responsibilities:

  • Manual Snow & Ice Removal: Clear stairs, decks, walkways, driveways, and other key areas using hand tools
  • De-Icing & Surface Treatment: Apply salt, sand, and other de-icing agents with attention to safety and environmental impact
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities as a Tier 1 Snow Remover

Level II Performance Expectations:

  • Small to Medium Equipment Operation: Operate snow blowers, mowers, trimmers and similar powered tools safely and independently
  • Mentorship & Team Support: Assist in training Basic Technicians by demonstrating proper techniques and safety practices

Requirements and/or Qualifications:

  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Candidates are required to supply their own weather-appropriate and waterproof footwear (e.g., work boots and snow boots) and face protection (such as a sunglasses, hats, or balaclava)
  • Safety First Mentality: Ensure compliance to all safety regulations and company policies and inform management in case of violations
  • Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude and have reliable transportation to and from the resort in all weather conditions
  • Team-Oriented: Willing to take direction and contribute to a supportive team environment with a good attitude, positive mindset, and able to adapt to an ever-changing work environment and situation
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with small hand tools (shovels, de-icing tools, leaf blowers, and mowers). Willingness to learn and train.
  • Communication: Reliable, clear communicator with a team-first attitude and professional guest interaction
  • Schedule Flexibility: Available for early morning shifts, weekends, holidays, and unplanned events or snowstorms throughout the year

Physical Requirements: - Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:

  • Full range of body movements
  • Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (50+ pounds)
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and repetitive actions
  • Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain
  • Climb/descend stairs
  • Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis
  • Safely handle hazardous materials

Working Environment:


Work is performed outside and is exposed to extreme temperatures, sun and wind, inclement weather (rain, wind, snow, ice) and high altitudes (9,000ft+). Team Members can be exposed to engine noise and exhaust. Team Members will be working around moving machines/equipment. Surfaces are compacted snow/ice and can become slippery.’
