: Job Objectives As a graduate pharmacy intern, you will provide expert consulting services to our customers, educating them on the effective use of their medications, potential drug interactions, and essential preventive healthcare services like immunizations. You will ensure the accurate compounding, dispensing, and verification of prescriptions, adhering to all regulatory and company guidelines. Your role will support the smooth operations of the pharmacy while collaborating with the pharmacy manager to enhance financial performance, inventory control, and customer satisfaction. Job Responsibilities/Tasks Customer Experience Engage with customers and patients, welcoming them and providing assistance with products and services. Troubleshoot customer issues promptly and provide clear answers to their queries to foster a positive experience. Share best practices in customer service with team members to deliver exceptional service. Build strong relationships with valued customers by anticipating their needs and proactively offering healthcare services. Operations Counsel patients on medication usage, answering questions on side effects, interactions, and generics, while ensuring they receive proper care. Perform essential pharmacist tasks such as compounding, verifying prescriptions, and managing medication effectively. Adhere to regulations, company policies, and procedures while assisting the pharmacy manager in streamlining workflow. Ensure compliance with controlled substance laws during prescription filling. Maintain and support pharmacy IT systems to enhance customer and staff productivity. Resolve insurance claim issues to prevent payment rejections, following up as necessary. Collaborate with medical providers for medication clarifications and recommendations. Deliver clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and diabetes awareness. Assist the pharmacy manager in analyzing performance data and enhancing inventory management. Engage with local healthcare professionals to foster community relationships and promote pharmacy services. Participate in virtual reviews to streamline pharmacy operations. People & Performance Management Support the Pharmacy Manager in hiring and training staff. Encourage teamwork and motivate colleagues by recognizing progress and fostering a common vision. Training & Personal Development Stay updated with pharmacy and healthcare trends through continuous learning. Obtain necessary certifications and education credits mandated by the company. Seek professional development opportunities and feedback to improve performance. Communications Assist in relaying corporate health and wellness information to pharmacy staff.
