Job Summary The General Manager oversees all operations and facilities management of the condominium property, including communications, human resources, financial management, facilities/maintenance, and project management to meet financial goals and client initiatives. The role involves leading a team to provide exceptional customer service, motivating staff, ensuring high performance, and fostering accountability. Salary range is $115k - $130k.
Essential Functions
Plan and develop daily operations, supervise, and participate in operational duties.
Recruit, train, schedule, discipline, review, and direct management and staff.
Maintain accounting records, client reporting, vendor expense control, and negotiate contracts. Manage P&L statements and explain variances.
Respond to client inquiries and resolve complaints.
Maintain official records as per Maryland Statute.
Attend board and committee meetings, provide management reports, and keep records of meetings.
Assist in leadership development through committees and support the board's decision-making.
Ensure a safe environment, proper maintenance, sanitation, and safety standards. Notify management of safety issues.
Represent the company professionally, maintaining a positive image in all interactions.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
CAM License required.
3-5 years of management experience, preferably in facilities management like hotels, resorts, or condos.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proven human resources management skills.
Experience with high-rise property management preferred.
Strong customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, web search engines; Quickbooks knowledge preferred.
Ability to interpret financial reports like P&L, budget variance, balance sheets, AR, AP, bank reconciliations.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability to move around the property, stand for long hours, climb stairs, and withstand Florida weather.
Reading, writing, and understanding financial documents in English.
Clear verbal communication skills.
Must be physically present at the community to perform duties.
