Summary/Objective The General Manager oversees daily operations with a focus on location profitability, staff management, safety, guest experience, and local marketing efforts. Essential Functions Ensure safety standards are met or exceeded through inspections, audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments. Achieve financial objectives including revenue and expense targets, and provide feedback to stakeholders. Lead and manage staff, optimizing performance within budget. Manage local marketing and sales initiatives, including social media, events, partnerships, and regional networking. Recruit, hire, train, and develop staff to ensure guest satisfaction and safety standards. Manage site operations, staffing, and safety procedures. Disseminate corporate policies and establish site-specific practices. Maintain course condition and brand standards. Support daily operations, including course maintenance, safety briefs, and monitoring participants. Perform rescue functions and participate in safety training. Share best practices with other managers. Conduct safety audits and contribute to staff training. Support PPE inspections and identify trends. Perform on-call duties and provide ad hoc support. Represent the brand in line with organizational values. At least 4 years in a supervisory role or previous Go Ape experience. At least 6 years managing operations in related fields or previous Go Ape experience. Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). Preferred Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields. Experience in high ropes or zip line operations is a plus. Additional Qualifications Must be 18 or older. Ability to meet guest participation requirements. CPR and First Aid certification. Rescue training completion. Valid driver’s license, pass MVR check, and have transportation.
