In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers by collaborating with your teammates and providing stellar customer service. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, handling cashier duties, and maintaining a clean and inviting store environment. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $20.50 | Year 3 - $21.00 | Year 4 - $21.00 | Year 5 - $22.00 Duties and Responsibilities: Consistently exemplify the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) for the role. Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently. Perform general cleaning duties to uphold store standards. Stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly to provide a great shopping experience. Assist customers and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping journey. Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with store management. Offer constructive feedback to management regarding products, inventory discrepancies, scanning errors, and overall store conditions. Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy. Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses. Comply with all company policies while maintaining security and confidentiality of documents and data. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Ability to stock merchandise and place products, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelves at various heights. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store. Must be capable of performing duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older to apply for this position. Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service. Skilled in operating a cash register efficiently and accurately. Familiarity with operating equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers. Ability to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the store. Competence in interpreting and applying store policies and procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Organized with strong attention to detail, capable of following instructions and multitasking efficiently. Must meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior retail experience is a plus. A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
