Position Overview: The Retail Sales Associate is the face of PetSmart, engaging with pet parents and their pets to provide positive experiences. This role involves responsibilities such as store maintenance, pet safety standards, and direct care for pets in our store. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Creating memorable experiences for customers in store, on the phone, and online. Welcoming pet parents and addressing their inquiries. Preparing online orders for in-store pickup. Caring for the health and well-being of store-owned pets, including feeding and cleaning habitats. Upholding cleanliness standards throughout the store. Assisting with pricing changes and promotional displays. Organizing new products on the sales floor. Offering recommendations and selling merchandise, services, and live pets. Administering medications to store-owned pets as directed. Promoting special events within the store. Ensuring a safe environment for everyone. Taking proactive measures in case of sick or injured pets. Assisting in various store areas as needed. Fostering a culture of belonging and appreciation among team members. Adhering to all company policies and procedures. What We're Looking For: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stay calm and composed under pressure. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Must be able to stand, walk, climb ladders, and use hands frequently. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and more than 100 pounds occasionally. Work environment includes exposure to noise, pets, and the possibility of wet conditions.
