As a Retail Associate, you will play a vital role in enhancing the shopping experience by working closely with the team to provide outstanding customer service. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and inviting store environment. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $19.50 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $20.00 | Year 3 - $20.50 | Year 4 - $20.50 | Year 5 - $21.50 Duties and Responsibilities: You should be able to perform the following duties with or without reasonable accommodation: Exhibit ALDI's core values and competencies consistently. Process customer purchases; maintain cleanliness; stock shelves; and create attractive merchandise displays. Deliver excellent customer service by assisting shoppers throughout their experience. Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain clear communication with management. Provide constructive feedback to management regarding product quality, inventory issues, and store operations. Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock levels for accuracy and quality. Follow cash handling procedures to minimize losses. Comply with company policies and uphold the security and confidentiality of sensitive information. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Ability to lift and stock merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store. Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old to apply. Strong customer service skills and a friendly attitude are essential. Experience operating a cash register accurately and efficiently. Familiarity with equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers is beneficial. Capability to maintain a clean store environment to company standards. Ability to comprehend and apply company policies and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task effectively. Must meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred. A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
