As a Retail Associate, you will engage in various tasks including merchandising and stocking products, handling cashier duties, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00 | Year 3 - $19.50 | Year 4 - $19.50 | Year 5 - $20.50 Duties and Responsibilities: Consistently embody the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) required for the role. Process customer transactions efficiently, ensure cleanliness, and neatly stock shelves and merchandise displays. Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs. Work collaboratively with team members and clearly communicate with store management. Offer valuable feedback to management on product inventory, scanning errors, and other issues. Participate in the store inventory process and maintain accuracy in inventory management. Comply with cash policies and procedures to minimize financial loss. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring the security and confidentiality of all documents and data. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Ability to stock products from receiving to shelving, including lifting items weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights. Regular tasks include sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking throughout the store. Must be capable of performing job duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Strong ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service. Experience operating a cash register accurately and efficiently. Ability to safely use equipment such as hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers. Capability to maintain cleanliness to company standards. Ability to understand and apply company policies and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task effectively. Must meet all state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior experience in a retail environment is advantageous.
