Join our team as a Full-Time Retail Associate, where you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming shopping environment! In this position, you will be responsible for stocking products, managing cashier duties, and ensuring the store remains clean and organized. Your efforts will directly enhance the customer shopping experience through collaboration with fellow team members and delivering outstanding customer service.
Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00 | Year 3 - $18.50 | Year 4 - $18.50 | Year 5 - $19.50
Duties and Responsibilities: (Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.)
Consistently display the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) for the role.
Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, stock shelves, and merchandise displays effectively.
Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping needs.
Collaborate with team members and clearly communicate with the store management team.
Provide feedback to management regarding products, inventory, and general concerns.
Participate in store inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy.
Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses.
Comply with all company policies and uphold the confidentiality of documents and data.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stock merchandise, placing products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights.
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk within the store.
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Commitment to providing prompt and courteous customer service.
Proficiency in operating a cash register efficiently and accurately.
Ability to safely operate equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
Experience in general cleaning duties to meet company standards.
Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effectively work both independently and within a team environment.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and multi-task.
Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience:
A High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior retail experience is preferred.
A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
