As a Retail Associate, you will play a key role in enhancing the customer shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness. You will work collaboratively with the team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the store looks its best. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.50 | Year 3 - $19.00 | Year 4 - $19.00 | Year 5 - $20.00 Duties and Responsibilities: You will be expected to perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation: Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as outlined for the role. Process customer purchases and maintain cleanliness in the store. Assist customers in their shopping journey with exceptional service. Collaborate with team members and clearly communicate with the store management team. Provide management with feedback regarding products, inventory accuracy, scanning errors, and overall issues. Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock for accuracy. Follow cash policies and procedures to minimize any losses. Adhere to all company policies while safeguarding the confidentiality of documents and data. Perform other assigned duties as necessary. Physical Demands: Ability to stock merchandise from delivery to shelves, including lifting items weighing up to 45 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store. Must be able to perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Proven ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service. Experience in operating a cash register accurately and efficiently. Knowledge of safe operation for equipment like electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers. Ability to maintain cleaning standards as per company guidelines. Understanding and application of company policies and procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively. Meet state and local requirements for selling and handling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior work experience in retail is preferred. A combination of related education and experience is acceptable.
