Position Summary: The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement personalized treatment plans focused on enhancing residents' mobility, strength, and functional capabilities. The PTA is crucial in supporting our residents’ recovery and independence through compassionate care and evidence-based practices. Key Responsibilities: Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Assist residents in engaging in exercises and activities aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional abilities. Monitor residents' progress during therapy sessions and relay updates to the Physical Therapist. Educate residents and their families on exercises and techniques to support therapy goals outside of sessions. Accurately document therapy sessions, resident progress, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and facility standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive resident care. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility policies and procedures. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Colorado. Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach. Competency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
