We are actively seeking an experienced full-time Bartender to become a vital part of our team at Big Tyme Billiards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of bartending experience, showcasing their ability to excel in fast-paced environments while maintaining a strong commitment to service excellence. Full-time shifts available, ranging from 3 to 5 shifts per week, with potential day shifts required
YOU MUST BE OPEN AND WILLING TO WORK WEEKENDS AND SOME DAY SHIFT IF NEEDED
Night and weekend shifts from 5:30 PM to 3:00 AM
Skills and Experience Required:
An active Food Manager Certificate must be obtained by the start date
A valid TABC license is required
A minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in a bar or nightclub setting is essential
Open availability to work any day or night, including weekends and holidays
A high school diploma is preferred, with a minimum age requirement of 18 years
A working knowledge of standard drink recipes, spirits, wine, beer, and bar equipment is necessary
Understanding of various classes of alcohol, glass types, brand names, and garnishments is advantageous
Knowledge and education in mixology will be considered a plus
Basic math and cash-handling skills are required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
Ability to adapt to varied work schedules and hours based on business needs
Physical capability to reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 30 lbs, as well as the ability to stand for extended periods
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Politely greet customers, present beverage options, and engage with guests to enhance their experience
Make recommendations and respond promptly to customer inquiries in a professional manner
Verify customer identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol purchases
Take orders from serving staff or directly from customers
Prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
Maximize customer satisfaction by maintaining a high level of professionalism that encourages repeat visits
Process transactions using the POS system and balance the cash register at the beginning of each shift
Accurately itemize bills and secure payment as required
Ensure cleanliness of glasses, bar equipment, and work areas
Adhere to all TABC and company health, safety, and hygiene standards and policies
Utilize a silent service approach while maintaining a clean environment
Employ upselling techniques with proper knowledge and service delivery of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
Waitressing when needed
