Avina of Pewaukee, a well-respected rehabilitation, long-term care, and skilled nursing facility located at the corner of Watertown Rd and Pewaukee Rd in Waukesha, WI, is seeking a dedicated and professional Full-Time Cook to join our Dietary team!

As a Cook, you will play a vital role in our residents' well-being by preparing nutritious, delicious, and visually appealing meals that meet the highest standards, contributing to their healing and overall health.
Working under the direct supervision of the Dietary Manager and Assistant Dietary Manager, you will be a vital part of our team, ensuring our residents receive meals that are both satisfying and contribute to their nutritional needs.
Your responsibilities will include: Opening the kitchen efficiently to ensure timely meal service. Preparing high-quality food while adhering to up-to-date food safety and sanitation guidelines. Assisting with the cleanup, setup, and takedown of prep areas and the dining area. Delivering food carts to designated resident care areas. Preparing and serving nutritious and appealing snacks between mealtimes. Taking accurate inventory of food and supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Engaging in continuing education to stay current with protocols, procedures, and federal and state dietary guidelines. Interacting with team members, guests, and residents in a friendly and professional manner throughout the facility. Performing other job duties as assigned with dedication and a positive attitude. Shift Time: Full-Time: 06:00 AM to 2:30 PM What You'll Need to Succeed: Experience in a food service setting is preferred. A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills. The physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A demonstrated cooperative team approach in all aspects of your work. Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in food preparation. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to follow written and oral directions effectively. The capacity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong time management and organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently. Demonstrated reliability and leadership potential within the facility. What We Offer: $1000.00 Sign-On Bonus!
