Sr. Full Stack Developer GovCIO is currently hiring for a Sr. Full Stack Developer for a new program award. This position will be full-time and fully remote. GovCIO is looking for a Full Stack Developer to sustain one of VA's legal case/matter and accreditation management systems. The role may include parts or all of the following:
Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. May design graphical user interface (GUI) to meet the specific needs of users. Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. May build add-on modules using application program language.
Designs and codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools. Maintains and modifies existing software applications. Analyzes detailed systems factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and alternative methods of problem resolution. Participates in code reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specifications. Writes or revises program documentation, operations documentation and user guides in accordance with standards. Diagnose and troubleshoot production application issues. Promote and drive innovation in technologies, processes, and tools. Work with Product Owners and Scrum Teams in requirements decomposition, backlog refinement, and breakdown of user stories and tasks. Interaction with stakeholders and SMEs in support of the Product Owner. Use unit and integration testing to ensure systems meet business needs. Develop and deliver software that impacts the lives of millions of American Veterans and their families. Interface with internal and Government management personnel.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
Experience in an agile environment like Scrum or SAFe.
At least five years of direct experience with Relational databases and SQL.
Experience using Non-Relational and Relational databases like MySQL, SQL server, Oracle.
At least five years experience with .NET applications, ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC etc.
Experience with C# and Visual Studio
Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript
Experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
Must be able to design, discuss, and document system strategies for platform, applications, and networks.
Understanding of Azure DevOps
Proficient with Git, GitHub, and Markdown text.
Proficient spelling, grammar, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with Angular and/or React.
Experience with integrations between legacy and modernized systems.
Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
