SHIFTS: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Rotating shifts due to job share)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Join the University of Michigan Health System as a Front Office Customer Service Representative. This vital role creates a positive first impression for visitors and patients. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, professionalism, and a proactive attitude.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
- Greet and assist visitors and patients upon arrival.
- Facilitate patient check-ins and prepare rooms for visits.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of rooms post-departure.
- Provide administrative support and perform accurate data entry tasks.
- Monitor patient queues in Mi-Chart scheduling system.
- Provide potential assistance with call center calls as required.
- Exceptional communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Mi-Chart scheduling system is a plus.
- Previous experience in a call center is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Immunization documentation required (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, TB).
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- Hepatitis B
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
- TB (Tuberculosis) - Negative TB skin test within the last two months.
