Location : 6266 S. Congress Ave, Lantana Florida 33462 (Onsite)
Location : 3 Months contract
Pay rate : $18/hr on W2.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
General Summary:
The role is responsible for providing front desk and technician support to clients/patients at the store/clinic. The position supports the Doctor and Office Manager to ensure smooth patient flow and resolves any customer concerns during visits, aiming for high customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
Front Desk Responsibilities:
Commit to delivering unsurpassed customer service by executing the following service process steps:
Verify insurance properly before the doctor encounter and ensure it's scanned before the visit.
Greet patients professionally, providing an exceptional customer service experience.
Answer phones promptly and professionally.
Transparently explain the process and exam pricing upon inquiry.
Check in and pretest patients efficiently and accurately.
Collect all necessary information from patients.
Serve as a center of excellence and a role model for others.
Handle tasks such as adjusting or fitting eyewear carefully and correctly.
Collect copays and handle payments according to standard operating procedures.
Dispense eyewear and contacts accurately and responsibly.
Order contacts as needed.
Technician Duties:
Assist with patient care and conduct pre-tests for eye examinations.
Collect medical history information from patients.
Explain and prepare patients for testing, administering visual capability tests.
Maintain records, inventory, and examination notes.
Clean and maintain examination equipment.
Assist in phone answering and appointment scheduling as needed.
Dispense and perform minor adjustments on eyewear when necessary.
Instruct and demonstrate to patients how to wear contacts and maintain proper hygiene.
Take personal ownership to achieve personal and store results.
Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Job Specifications:
Experience: 1-2 years in retail, customer service, optical retail, or a related field.
Skills: Intermediate computer proficiency, strong communication abilities, capable of working with a diverse client base.
Attributes: Team-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication.
Abilities: Quick learner, supportive of change management, independent judgment for problem-solving, escalate complex issues when necessary.
Preferred Skills:
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Familiarity with the healthcare industry or terminology.
Previous front desk or technician experience preferred, but training is available for qualified candidates.
Working Conditions:
The work environment is generally favorable with adequate lighting and temperature. There are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc
