Food Service Distribution Partner Manager
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Food Service Distribution Partner Manager to lead the development and management of strategic relationships with key foodservice distribution partners across the This role is remote, with a preference for candidates located near major airports due to regular travel requirements around the United States and Canada.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the foodservice distribution channel, proven relationships with major distributors such as Sysco, US Foods, Gordon Food Service, PFG, Ben E. Keith, Sigma, and / or Shamrock, and a strong understanding of the way they go to market. You will play a critical role in supporting the launch and scale of a very well-funded, early-stage innovation that is gaining traction in the foodservice space.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
Serve as the primary relationship manager for national and regional foodservice distributors.
Build and execute strategies to drive distributor engagement, adoption, and growth.
Leverage existing relationships to quickly open doors and expand market presence.
Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain) to align goals and deliver results.
Guide product positioning and promotional efforts within distributor networks.
Monitor performance and partner compliance, identifying opportunities for improvement or expansion.
Navigate the complexities of multi-tiered distribution systems, including local, regional, and national dynamics.
Educate and influence distributor sales teams to drive downstream sales velocity.
Serve as a proactive market intelligence resource to inform product and go-to-market strategies.
You should have the following in your background to apply:
Experience in foodservice distribution, account management, business development or related roles.
Established network and strong working relationships with top foodservice distributors: Sysco, US Foods, GFS, PFG, Ben E. Keith, Sigma, Shamrock.
Knowledge of the paper, chemical, edible oils and fats, commodity categories within the foodservice industry.
Experience launching or scaling innovative products through distributor networks.
Ability to manage complex channel environments and adapt strategies to varying partner needs.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills and ability to engage, inform and inspire through product demos, and compelling sales pitches.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with changing priorities.
Ability to travel frequently and work independently from a remote location.
Experience in or exposure to early-stage startups or innovation teams.
Familiarity with digital tools and CRM platforms (, Salesforce).
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
