JOIN THE US FOODS® TEAM AS A DRIVER! We value your experience! Starting pay is $24.87 during training, with potential for competitive component pay based on miles, cases, and stops after training. Overtime pay is also available for this role. For details on our benefits, please review our offerings. Schedule: Sunday night to Friday, with options for 4 or 5 workdays per week, allowing for 2 or 3 days off during the week. Most routes dispatch between 10 PM and 3 AM. Flexibility for team routes will be required as needed. Key Responsibilities: Safely drive trucks to ensure timely deliveries to customers.
Unload products from the trailer using equipment like two-wheelers or pallet jacks, and place them in designated customer areas.
Confirm delivery accuracy with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
Handle payments and collections where applicable.
Provide top-notch customer service to enhance the client experience.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Physical Requirements: Lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing 20 to 80+ lbs. during shifts.
Comfortable driving and working in various weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift).
What You Bring: Must be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
A valid CDL Class A license from your legal state of residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications is required.
Minimum of six months commercial driving experience, or three months experience in food/beverage delivery.
Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required for certain locations.
Proficient in English for communication, understanding traffic signs, and record-keeping.
