Job Title: Investment Operations – PE Retail - Associate
Job Description:
The Finance – Operations group is responsible for all aspects of fund administration operations related to Blackstone’s Private Equity retail funds. Additionally, the group supports the relevant deal teams and internal marketing groups.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Work closely with deal teams/fund counsel/tax advisors and portfolio company (“PC”) management on investment transactions and support
Liaise with the fund accountants on deal transaction accounting for GAAP F/S
Manage the investment closing/sale funds flow process alongside the deal teams
Manage responsibilities and assignments delegated to the junior NY or offshore teams
Prepare/review of internal reporting to COO, CFO Head of Finance, and Portfolio Management on fund metrics
Manage fund level cash and liquidity through modelling forecasted realizations and capital deployments
Read and interpret LPAs
Monitor fund LPA limit and deal certificate compliance
Manage capacity on the funds’ credit lines as well as borrowing base compliance/covenants
Oversee the creation and maintenance of fund and investment structure charts and KYC/AML letters
Manage custody with 3rd party vendor, share/stock reconciliation and proxy voting process for fund investments
Liaise with external and internal auditors
Manage the expense process and compliance with LPA and firm policies
Work with technology team to improve automation/reporting of manual processes
Assist with special projects and internal ad hoc requests as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong technical accounting skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Detail-oriented
Skill to work in a dynamic professional environment and handle multiple projects and deadlines
Builds relationships and communicates effectively across multiple levels, functions and regions
Effectively work and communicate with members of the team to ensure established deadlines are being met in an efficient, accurate and thorough manner
Desire to implement process improvement opportunities
A self-starter who works independently
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required

Expected annual base salary range:
$125,000 - $200,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
