Engineering RF Test Technician III (Secret Clearance) (Location: Oxnard, CA 93030 area) Position Overview: The Engineering RF Test Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the engineering team by providing technical assistance and conducting tests, measurements, and evaluations. They work closely with engineers and production personnel, assisting in the development and implementation of engineering projects and production products. Requirements: • Secret Clearance Required. • At least 7 years of relevant previous experience. • Proficiency with the use of common RF test equipment. • Familiar with schematic diagrams and test documentation. • Knowledge of electronics principles and common RF tests. • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures. • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Associate degree or relevant certification in engineering technology preferred. Key Responsibilities: Technical Support: Collaborate with engineers to develop and improve products and processes. Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications. Provide technical support to resolve engineering issues and troubleshoot problems. Testing and Evaluation: Perform tests, measurements, and evaluations on prototypes, components, and systems. Collect and analyze data to assess performance, quality, and compliance with standards and specifications. Assist in the identification and implementation of corrective actions based on test results and evaluations. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of engineering activities, test results, and project progress. Prepare technical reports, summaries, and documentation. Equipment: Set up and operate engineering equipment, tools, and instruments such as Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Bench power supplies, signal/waveform generators, high-speed oscilloscopes, Noise Figure analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians. Communicate technical information, recommendations, and updates clearly and concisely. Note: Candidates must have a Clearance on or before the day they start. It is possible that candidates who have held Clearances in recent past ("Inactive" Clearance within the last 1-2 years) will be able to get their Clearance re-instated relatively quickly, that needs to be in place before they start.
