Responsibilities: Prepare donors, donor areas, and equipment for the pheresis process. Set up and monitor the autopheresis machine throughout the procedure. Respond promptly to alarms or signals during the pheresis process. Disconnect donors safely upon completion of the process. Remain vigilant of any donor reactions during or after the procedure; notify appropriate staff as necessary. Utilize a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to document incidents during the pheresis process, including machine alerts, alarms, volume variances, and donor adverse events. Link equipment and soft goods used in the process to the corresponding donor using the PDA. Inform the Group Leader or Supervisor about any issues affecting donor flow. Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Understand and adhere to the policies associated with hyper immune programs at the center, if applicable. Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, ensuring adequate operating supplies and forms are available when needed. Comply with all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and OSHA policies and procedures, promoting safety in all actions. Safeguard confidentiality regarding all personnel, donor, and center information. May be cross-trained in other areas to support business needs. Bilingual skills may be required based on business needs. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of three (3) months of work experience in a medical or health provider environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to perform basic math calculations.
