As we continue to expand our retail footprint and elevate our brand presence, we are seeking a Director of Retail Stores to lead and oversee the entire retail division.This role is responsible for motivating and inspiring store teams to achieve company objectives and performance metrics, while managing resources efficiently to maximize productivity and profitability. The Director of Retail Stores will champion our brand standards in selling, service, and merchandising, and will lead by example with integrity, honesty, and deep operational knowledge. Additionally, the Director will ensure that all security and operational procedures are consistently upheld across all locations.Core ResponsibilitiesRetail Strategy, Operations & PerformanceDevelop and execute short- and long-term strategies to drive store performance, increase revenue, and support overall brand growth.Translate company goals into actionable retail initiatives.Oversee daily operations across all retail locations, ensuring brand consistency, exceptional customer service, and adherence to operational standards.Implement best practices to improve processes and efficiency.Lead, coach, and inspire store managers and their teams, driving engagement, accountability, and results.Build a strong bench of talent through thoughtful succession planning and performance development.Establish KPIs and operating metrics; monitor performance and implement action plans to optimize productivity, conversion, and customer satisfaction.Develop and manage store budgets, analyze P&Ls, and maintain strong cost control while delivering a best-in-class customer experience.Maintain a customer-first culture, ensuring every interaction reflects our brand values and delivers a high-touch, personalized experience.Growth, Merchandising & Market InsightsPartner with buying and planning teams to ensure inventory accuracy, effective assortment planning, and compelling visual merchandising execution.Monitor competitor activity, retail trends, and local market dynamics to stay ahead of the curve and identify new opportunities.Lead all retail aspects of new store launches — from hiring and training to store setup and opening strategy — ensuring seamless execution and brand alignment.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related fieldMinimum of 10 years experience in a senior retail leadership roleKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesPassion for the Tuckernuck brand and interested in retail/fashionStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with budgeting and financial managementAbility to lead and motivate a teamKnowledge of industry trends and market conditionsAbility to adapt to changing market conditions and adjust strategies accordinglyTuckernuck Core ValuesThe successful candidate will also demonstrate the following core values that inspire the Tuckernuck team to make a difference.Teamwork Makes the Dream WorkFind the FunRespectStart Strong & Finish StrongHave CourageTuckernuck is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
