Director of Retail Health Safety and Security What Will You Do?

As Director of Retail Health, Safety, and Security, you will direct, lead and drive the inclusion of safety into all aspects of the distribution business plan. You will ensure the workplace meets all safety expectations and to actively support the occupational health programs to reduce costs and proactively manage safety and reduce risk to the employees, contractors, vendors and the business.

What Do You Need? Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety or related field, or equivalent work experience, Required 10 years previous Occupational Health &Safety experience in Distribution, Warehousing and/or Logistics or similar environment preferably in a corporate or regional role, Required Advanced knowledge of US state and federal OSHA laws and regulations , workers compensation laws and return to work programs Advanced knowledge and implementation of industrial ergonomic principles Advanced knowledge of fire protection systems, protection systems and act as “competent person” for the distribution organization. Knowledge of construction safety Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma and/or other tool for evaluating the work environment for improvements Who We Are At Ashley, we’re more than a business…we’re family.
