General Job Description
The Director, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program reports to the Associate Dean of Public Safety Programs and is responsible for the administrative, instructional, and accreditation compliance functions of the EMS program, including Paramedic-level education. This role requires leadership, planning, evaluation, continuous quality improvement, and operational oversight in alignment with North Carolina Office of EMS (NCOEMS) and CoAEMSP standards.
The Director ensures the program meets and maintains accreditation and regulatory requirements, including those set by CoAEMSP and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). This role includes supervision of EMS faculty, oversight of clinical and field education components, collaboration with the Medical Director, and maintenance of program outcomes. The Director also oversees the American Heart Association (AHA) Community Training Center.
**$5,000 sign-on bonus to be paid upon the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period**
