We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team and be the Foreman of Second Shift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience in heavy equipment operation and semi-trailer repair and maintenance. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and be a part of a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet and have the responsibility of managing Second Shift.
*Duties*
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, and suspension systems.
* Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
* Conduct repairs on various types of heavy equipment and tractor-trailers.
* Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly and repair tasks.
* Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
* Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle maintenance needs.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and tire service tasks.
* Assist in the training of junior mechanics or apprentices as needed.

*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in automotive repair or service technician capacity.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Management experience is a must
* Familiarity with HVAC systems, shocks & struts, brake repair, alignment, and soldering techniques.
* Experience working with heavy equipment operation and industrial equipment is preferred.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
* Willingness to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
