Your Role
As a Gensler
Senior Designer
in our Retail practice area, you will join a talented, thoughtful team dedicated to creating meaningful experiences and environments grounded in a deep understanding of culture, time, and place. What You Will Do
Lead interior design assignments including detailed programming, conceptual design, space planning, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
Provide strategic design leadership and support for organizing, producing, and executing design projects.
Participate in design iterations with team members, generating 3D models using Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and/or other software, along with Adobe Creative Suite.
Lead and participate in creating interior architectural plans, finish and reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, specifications, and schedules.
Collaborate with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators to meet design and budget goals.
Guide and mentor junior designers, helping to lead multiple projects collaboratively with other staff.
Help nurture and maintain client relations, especially with large tech clients.
Contribute to office activities, including communication of firm initiatives and learning programs.
Work closely with your team and across the firm to promote an interdisciplinary design approach that enhances Gensler's culture of quality and excellence.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
10+ years of relevant interior design experience in corporate workplaces, demonstrated through a diverse portfolio.
Ability to present and communicate design concepts and rationales effectively.
Experience in iterating designs based on client feedback, budgets, and architectural constraints.
NCIDQ certification is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of sustainable and universal design concepts.
Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and other modeling software.
Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, and procurement processes.
Strong visualization skills to communicate ideas effectively.
Flexibility to manage multiple projects at various stages for a single client.
**The base salary will be estimated between $100-130k plus bonuses and benefits, contingent on relevant experience.
