Full Time Dental Assistant

Wesley Dentistry is now hiring a Full Time Dental Assistant in Brentwood, TN!

We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our community of collaborative, high-quality clinical, business and operations professionals.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Every other Friday 7:00 am - 12 noon

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Dentists chairside
  • Prepares patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring comfort
  • Selection and setup of instrumentation, equipment, and other dental materials as needed
  • Instrument sterilization according to regulations
  • Maintains accurate patient records
  • Lab tasks accurately and as instructed
  • Provide post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain the highest of OSHA standards
  • Makes efficient temporary crowns
  • Take efficient and diagnostic X-rays
  • Communication skills Clear, compassionate communication with patients and the dental team.
  • Empathy and patience Helping nervous or anxious patients feel at ease.
  • Teamwork Working well with dentists, hygienists, and other staff members.
  • Customer service orientation Providing a welcoming, positive patient experience.
  • Attention to detail Accuracy in tasks like charting and sterilization.
  • Manual dexterity Steady hands and good coordination are critical when assisting in the mouth.
  • Time management Staying on schedule and handling multiple responsibilities.
  • Adaptability Flexibility to handle last-minute changes or emergencies.
  • Professionalism Reliable, ethical, and maintaining confidentiality (HIPAA compliance, etc.).
  • Strong work ethic Punctuality, reliability, and a willingness to take initiative.

Qualifications

  • Active Tennessee dental assistant license
  • Dental Assistant training/school certification
  • 2 or more years of dental assisting clinical experience
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Experience with digital software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
