Delivery Driver / Material Handler

We are currently looking for a Delivery Driver/Material Handler to join our Des Moines team with a start time of 7:30 AM. As a Material Handler, you will be primarily responsible for pulling product for customer orders while acting as a Non-CDL Delivery Driver. You will also prepare shipments and load trucks while ensuring safety at all times.What you'll doDrive non-CDL truck and follow all safety procedures per company policyPull orders accurately as assigned for daily deliveriesAct as support for route drivers on an as-needed basisStage orders according to truck location and verify the accuracy of pallets, etc.Load trucks for daily and special deliveriesUse power equipment including, but not limited to forkliftRecognize damaged product at any point in the process and take appropriate actionAssist customers and/or drivers in loading materials into vehicles and trucksPerform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned RequirementsWhat we're looking forExperience working in a fast-paced, distribution or warehouse environment preferred, but not requiredA valid driver's license and good driving record per company policyHigh attention to detail and strong math skills to ensure accuracyAbility to follow direction and safe operating proceduresAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the shift without assistance (weight varies based on product)Ability to be trained to use forklifts and other warehouse machineryWork on his/her feet including walking for extended periods of timeWilling to work overtime as neededWhat's in it for youPerformance based competitive payBenefits package - no waiting period!
