How would you contribute?
This role is a contributing member of our Airlite Plastics team, located in Dallas, TX. As a Material Handler you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. This role is responsible receives, stores, and distributes manufactured products within the warehousing facilities
Essential Duties:
- Prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule and procedures.
- Inspect orders to ensure accuracy of product type and quantity, ensure labeling is correct.
- Record products being stored, moved or shipped using scanners and computers.
- Operate pallet jacks and forklift as needed to transport skids and product to staging or storage areas.
- Conveys materials from designated areas to and from production and warehouse areas.
- Process small packages and freight shipments following required procedures.
- Load trailers at a pace that meets expectations and supports the team to meet quality/quantity goals and standards.
- Maintain inventory controls per procedures.
- Reorganize and restack pallets while updating inventory records in the system of record to optimize trailer space.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintain attendance within company standards.
- Responsible for reporting safety problems to management.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Does not have direct Supervisory responsibilities, however, will assists in the supervision of team members in a designated production area.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is seasonally and moderately exposed to humid conditions and heat. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to height of 8-10 feet and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
