Requirements: Answer up to potentially 100+ phone calls and place new orders Call customers as needed for dispatchers Responsible for total customer satisfaction Speak to our customers in a positive and friendly manner Answer customer's questions on concrete products Learn to type tickets to ensure timely delivery Learn to monitor jobs: determine if delivery rates are correct; if jobs can be started earlier, or where there are delays on PM jobs Inform shop of trucks with mechanical problems Inform maintenance of plant problems Assist drivers in finding job sites Get assistance to drivers in emergencies Inform customer representatives of problems on jobs that need their expertise and/or assistance Wash out drivers as early as possible Learn to take orders for current day and/or future delivery as needed Learn to make moves or changes in orders for customers Other duties as required Shift: 10 hour day schedule typically 7am to 5pm M-F, rotating Saturday schedule (every 5th Saturday) Minimum education and experience: High school degree or equivalent required Experience in the ready mix concrete industry and a strong understanding of concrete, ad mixtures, and aggregate preferred COMMAND data dispatch system experience preferred Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Strong computer, phone, and customer service skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Willing to work various hours including overtime Ability to maintain composure in all situations and not become defensive or irritated Knowledge of DFW and surrounding geographic area In return, we offer a highly competitive benefits package, including: Medical Prescription drug Dental Vision Health care reimbursement account Dependent care reimbursement account Wellness programs Employee assistance plan Paid holidays and vacation 401(k) with company matching Pension Salary continuation short-term disability Long-term disability options Employee life insurance Spouse & dependent life insurance Business travel accident insurance Direct deposit payroll Educational/tuition assistance plan College scholarship program for dependent children Matching gift program New auto purchase discount plans At Martin Marietta, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
