Job Description:

Tim McGallian - State Farm Insurance Agency is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team in Clayton, CA. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional service and support. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction, policy retention, and fostering a positive relationship with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist clients in person, over the phone, and via email with a professional and friendly demeanor.
Answer customer inquiries regarding insurance policies, coverages, billing, and claims.
Provide accurate and timely information to clients about their policies and assist with policy changes, renewals, and cancellations.
Process and document customer requests, ensuring all information is accurately entered into the system.
Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively, escalating to management when necessary.
Assist in the preparation of insurance quotes and policy proposals.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of State Farm insurance products, services, and industry regulations.
Support the agency's sales goals by identifying potential leads and referring them to licensed agents.
Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
Previous customer service experience, preferably in insurance or financial services, is an asset.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable using CRM software.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and patience.
Must be a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.

We help customers with their insurance and financial services needs, including Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Life Insurance, Business Insurance, Health Insurance, y Renters Insurance.
Our office is located in Clayton.
Our office is open Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm .
Before becoming a State Farm Agent, I was previously employed as a State Farm Employee.
We currently have 3 team members at our agency.
We have 50 years of combined insurance experience in our office.
