This Customer Executive position is accountable for managing the Deli and Fresherized business for Wakefern. This sales territory has direct accountability for $15 MM in net sales annually. Develops, implements and executes Wakefern’s sales and distribution plans for Deli and Fresherized products at the account and group level. Collaborates with their Customer Business Manager & Fresherized Broker to develop annual Sales plans that are aligned with those of the operating units. Conducts routine discussions with the customer and is an active participant in Wakefern planning process to create a plan that is mutually beneficial in delivering profitable sales. Identifies threats and opportunities in the categories that we compete in that could affect sales volume, market share, trade efficiencies and profitability to the company and communicates them to their Customer Business Manager. Aligns the Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Pricing (DSMPs) established by the Deli and Fresherized products segment to ensure the execution of DSMP objectives are met. Interprets information from Category Analytics team and Sales Strategy regarding category sales, brand sales, share growth and promotional efficiency. From this information the incumbent provides insights and recommendations on tactics used to drive sales on Hormel brands. Is responsible for continuing to develop and enhance their competencies through participation in learning and development workshops. These include, but are not limited to training available at local, regional and national meetings intended to improve selling techniques, knowledge of the customer and company, and other business practice. QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 1+ year of sales/sales strategy experience. Record of successful sales and/or business analytics experience. Pattern of initiative. Proven problem solving and decision-making skills. Proven ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex projects. Well-developed interpersonal, organizational skills and analytical skills. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to take opportunities from conception to execution. Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States. LOCATION:  Bethlehem Sales Office, Bethlehem PA A comprehensive relocation package to the Bethlehem, PA area will be offered, if required. At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for the Customer Executive role is between $77,800 - $108,925 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
