Job Summary

Provide occupational therapy interventions under OT supervision to help patients improve ADLs, functional mobility, cognition, and use of adaptive equipment; document care and progress accurately; and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver skilled OT treatments (therapeutic activities, ADL/self-care training, functional mobility, energy conservation) per OT plan of care.
  • Instruct patients/caregivers on adaptive equipment and home exercise programs; reinforce safety and compensatory strategies.
  • Observe, measure, and document progress; report changes to supervising OT and suggest plan updates.
  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment; ensure infection prevention and safe body mechanics.
  • Coordinate with nursing, PT, SLP, and case management for smooth care transitions.

Job Qualifications

Required

  • Accredited COTA program graduate; Arkansas COTA license (or eligibility).
  • BLS; strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred

  • 6+ months inpatient or outpatient rehab experience; comfort with EHR/EMR.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Status: PRN
  • Schedule: As Needed, Weekdays
  • Pay: Competitive hourly rate; details during interview

Qualifications

Education:

Associates degree from an APTA approved school or college. Associate degree from an approved AOTA school or college.

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:

Has met the requirements of the Arkansas State Physical Therapy Examining Committee for licensure and has current licensure to practice occupational therapy in the state of Arkansas. BLS certification.
