Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician to join our service team in Tampa. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of commercial kitchen equipment used in restaurants, hotels, schools, and healthcare facilities. Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen appliances including ovens, fryers, steamers, dishwashers, and refrigeration units
Perform preventative maintenance and ensure all equipment operates within manufacturer and safety specifications
Install new equipment and retrofit or upgrade existing systems
Maintain detailed service records, including parts used, issues identified, and repairs completed
Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues and repair recommendations in a clear, professional manner
Respond to emergency service calls as part of an on-call rotation
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all work is performed in compliance with codes and standards
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; trade school certification preferred
Minimum 2–5 years of experience servicing commercial kitchen equipment
Strong mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration knowledge
Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Strong communication and customer service skills
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in tight or hot environments
Preferred Qualifications: CFESA certification or equivalent
Experience with a wide range of cooking and refrigeration equipment
Familiarity with work order systems and part ordering
