Carmello's Inc./Carmello's Restaurant is currently looking for a Line Cook to join our team!  Fluent in Spanish & English is a plus. Looking for Full Time or Part Time. Experience preferred but not required.

Job Purpose: Serves meals by reviewing recipes. Assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients. Maintaining equipment, inventory, and a sanitary kitchen. Supervises kitchen staff in daily activities and reports to the General Manager. Ensures a clean kitchen by maintaining and delegating a cleaning schedule. Supervisar al personal de cocina en sus actividades diarias y reportar al Gerente General. Asegurar la limpieza de la cocina delegando y siguiendo un cronograma de limpieza.
Duties: Plans meals by analyzing recipes; and retrieving and ordering ingredients. Prepares ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste. Completes meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients; verifying doneness and taste; assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients. Presents meals by placing and arranging hot and cold elements using plates, dishes, bowls, and baskets. Controls cost by adhering to recipes; and following preparation standards. Maintains a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; and verifying receipt. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive and cleaning maintenance; and calling for repairs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Responsabilidades: Planificar comidas analizando recetas y organizando ingredientes. Preparar ingredientes siguiendo recetas: cortar, picar, mezclar, sazonar y verificar el sabor. Cocinar los ingredientes mediante técnicas como asado, salteado, fritura y horneado. Presentar los platos organizando los elementos fríos y calientes en platos, tazones y canastas. Controlar costos siguiendo recetas y estándares de preparación. Mantener la cocina higiénica cumpliendo con los códigos de salud estatales y locales. Gestionar el inventario de suministros, verificando existencias y haciendo pedidos cuando sea necesario. Garantizar el funcionamiento del equipo siguiendo instrucciones de uso y mantenimiento preventivo. Mantenerse actualizado participando en oportunidades educativas y redes profesionales. Contribuir al éxito del restaurante asumiendo nuevas responsabilidades y buscando formas de mejorar el desempeño del puesto.

Monza is a sister restaurant established around 12 years ago - a casual bar and restaurant adjacent to Carmello's that specializes in Italian classic cuisine, wood-fired pizza, Saturday and Sunday brunch foods, craft cocktails and beer.
