Department/Unit: Medical/Surgical Hospitalist - E3 Work Shift: Night (United States of America) Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $93,184.00 Join our dedicated team at Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse! In this crucial role, you will assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of assigned patients throughout their care journey, with a strong focus on ensuring smooth transitions and progress towards discharge. As a Registered Professional Nurse, you will deliver exceptional patient care while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to meet the comprehensive needs of our patients and families. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document care as per company policy and regulations. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions. Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care. Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions. Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications based on orders. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients. Guide and supervise ancillary personnel while upholding the standards of professional nursing practice. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree. Must possess a current NYS Registered Nurse license. Obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care required. Demonstrated excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills. Knowledge of quality concepts and principles, with the ability to apply problem-solving tools to enhance departmental and patient care quality.
