Department/Unit: Emergency Department Work Shift: Night Salary Range: $68,640.00 - $70,699.20 If you are a compassionate and dedicated nurse, we invite you to join our team in the Emergency Department, where you will play a vital role in assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, implementing, and managing the needs of our patients throughout their care journey. Your focus will be on enhancing patient outcomes and facilitating smooth transitions during their acute care stay. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document care in accordance with company policies and regulations. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions. Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided. Utilize sound nursing judgment in making management decisions regarding patient care. Provide primary and emergency care for a variety of injuries and illnesses. Administer medications as prescribed, both over-the-counter and prescription. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop individualized Plans of Care for patients. Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining nursing standards. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree. Current NYS Registered Nurse license. Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department, preferably at a large academic Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. Commitment to professional growth through continuing education. Knowledge of quality improvement concepts, principles, and tools.
