As a Class A Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring our fleet diesel equipment operates safely and efficiently, adhering to all compliance standards. Primary Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, converter dollies, and maintenance vehicles with minimal supervision. Perform overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions. Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of issues and performing necessary repairs. Inspect and ensure brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical components are operational, executing part replacements as needed. Verify that all equipment has the required licensing and registration before being classified as roadworthy. Document repairs and preventative maintenance tasks thoroughly in our online Enterprise Asset Management system. Install, replace, and repair onboard computer systems. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of machines, utilizing both hand and power tools. Train and provide guidance to other mechanics as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required, along with 5-7 years of significant experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire and wheel services, air brakes, computerized diagnostics, and electrical troubleshooting. Additionally, you should have at least 2 years of experience with refrigeration systems and overhauls/rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions.
