Cocoa Veterinary Hospital is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Certified Veterinary Technician to join our growing team!
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled, outgoing CVTs who want to fully utilize their education and expertise while making meaningful connections with clients and their pets.
In this role, you will: Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs. Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication. Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity. Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarian's orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care. This position is ideal for detail-oriented technicians who are passionate about exceptional patient and client care, and ready to work at the top of their license in a supportive, team-focused environment.
This is a flexible, full-time opportunity with a 4-10 or 5-8 schedule and requires availability for a rotating half-day Saturday shift.
Compensation and Benefits: Competitive pay: $20-$24per hour, for each hour worked. Career growth potential Required qualifications and skillset: 5+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting Current CVT in the state of Florida Proficiency in the following skills: Anesthesia monitoring and surgical support - Skilled in patient preparation, monitoring anesthesia, and supporting surgical procedures. Dental procedures - Proficient in performing dental cleanings and taking diagnostic dental radiographs. Diagnostic imaging and sample collection - Safely take radiographs and collect samples (blood, urine, fecal, etc.) following proper protocols. Client communication - Able to clearly and empathetically review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client concerns. Outpatient care and exam room efficiency - Experience supporting veterinarians in exams, treatments, and maintaining smooth workflow. Attention to detail and multitasking - Organized and precise when managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical setting.
