Job Description:

Under the supervision of nursing staff, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists in providing clinical patient care, prepares and maintains patient records, and ensures a clean and safe environment. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist nursing staff in providing direct patient care, including activities of daily living and vital sign monitoring.

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean and sanitized.

Assist with patient mobility and transfers, including occasional heavy lifting.

Follow verbal and written instructions from nursing and medical staff.

Support patients' comfort and well-being by responding to their needs promptly and respectfully.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Texas

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Qualifications:

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team.

Compassionate and patient-focused approach to caregiving.

Previous experience in a medical setting preferred, but not required.

Physical ability to perform occasional heavy lifting and assist patients as needed.
