Nursing Assistant Position

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Medical Specialty: Geriatrics

Physical Setting: Long term care Nursing home

Experience: Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification: Virginia issued CAN License, CPR Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Commute: Yes

Duties:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately to ensure patient well-being.
  • Provide empathetic care and emotional support to patients in need.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality following all HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals in administering medical procedures and treatments.
  • Keep detailed and precise medical records for effective patient care.
  • Support patients in senior care, inpatient, behavioral health, and medical-surgical environments.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in medical-surgical, senior care, or behavioral health settings is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with basic life support techniques and vital sign monitoring.
  • Exposure to Cerner or other electronic medical records systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) may be beneficial.
