Clinical Nursing Assistant

Summary: The Clinical Nursing Assistant is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction of a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include assisting physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, observing and documenting patient information, assisting patients and their families during admission and discharge, providing care/treatments to patients, and maintaining an effective clinical work environment.

Qualifications: Must have nursing assistant certification, such as Nurse Aide I registration as administered by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) or equivalent, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
