Position SummaryThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential care and support to residents in a skilled nursing facility. Under the supervision of licensed nurses, the CNA assists residents with activities of daily living, ensures their comfort and safety, and helps maintain a clean, supportive environment in accordance with federal, state, and facility regulations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.Provide assistance with mobility, positioning, and transferring residents using proper techniques and equipment.Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional conditions to nursing staff.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.Ensure residents' personal hygiene and living areas are clean, safe, and comfortable.Assist in the prevention of pressure injuries by turning and repositioning residents as needed.Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests.Support residents' rights and dignity at all times.Participate in care team meetings and in-service training sessions.Follow standard precautions and infection control guidelines.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to work in a team and communicate effectively.Compassionate, dependable, and respectful attitude toward the elderly and disabled.Education & ExperienceCurrent CNA certification.CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required per facility).Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
