Job Summary:
We are seeking a Full-Time Limited Scope X-ray Tech/Medical Assistant for our Kalmia location. This individual will be responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include:
Performs all required x-ray procedures with basic/limited scope reporting, reviewing and maintenance of accurate records and equipment.
Thoroughly and accurately complete patient information forms prior to physician meeting with patient; assist physician with chart as necessary.
Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
Interviewing patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State.
Recording documentation in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guidelines.
Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
Must attend mandatory meetings.
Qualifications
Experience/Training/Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion and one year experience as a Medical Assistant required.
Familiarity with medical terminology required.
Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (according to clinic protocol).
General medical office procedures.
Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process (according to clinic protocol).
Certifications/Licenses:
Medical Assistant certificate required and must obtain certification within six (6) months of employment.
Current BLS/CPR certification required.
Limited Scope of Practice Rad Tech Certification required.
