CDC Manager Lead and develop a team of associates with a focus on motivating, mentoring, and coaching. This individual is accountable for engaging their team to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, performance, and productivity. The Distribution Center Manager will ensure that customer expectations are met daily and orders are processed and shipped without incident. The person in this role will need to be able to show strong leadership, value ‘quality’ and ‘service excellence’, drive a customer-centric, employee-centric and continuous improvement culture, be committed to understanding and satisfying internal/external customer needs, and have a desire to provide tools to their team needed for success. What you'll do: Lead and work as an integral member of the Site Leadership Team Develop and direct management of CDC depts. to ensure timely order processing, inventory control, and effective warehouse management Manage logistics and outbound transportation processes to optimize material flow Foster relationships with Sales Leaders to develop short and long-term strategies that support growth and customer satisfaction Enforce Sonepar business and operation policies Develop and review dept. budgets, identifying areas for savings or concerns proactively Correspond with branch and company management to resolve questions and issues as they arise Participate with dept. managers to investigate and implement operational and administrative process improvements Develop self and others by assigning and accepting challenges to expand professional knowledge and capabilities Embody personal leadership qualities through the following: Be in the moment to ensure authentic and human interactions Model desired behaviors, such as volunteering effort and taking accountability Be curious in interactions with others and have empathy towards separate realities and experiences Have courageous conversations when providing feedback and coaching or mentoring team members Provide clear expectations, and set mutually agreed upon goals with direct reports for annual performance reviews Support team development through talent and succession planning efforts in partnership with HR Provide safety, DOT, and environmental leadership and accountability Leverage data and analytics to forecast and plan across supply chain, operations, and logistics Implement inbound/outbound logistics optimizations inclusive of supplier synergies and cost reductions Other duties as assigned What you“ll bring: EDUCATION: Preferred qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Background in LEAN/Kaizen culture as a facilitator Experience leading transformational change at the business-unit level Experience with Eclipse ERP and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Solid understanding of Federal DOT, Safety and OSHA standards Fleet / Transportation Management experience Ability to adapt and change processes to keep pace with the evolving business requirements Strong people leader who engages in the servant leadership model Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong business acumen, including creating and managing annual budget PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance. The employee will frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. ENVIRONMENT :  Onsite_ Las Vegas, NV PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: This position works in a normal office environment as well as a warehouse environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. while working in the office.
