In this role, you will be responsible for transporting and managing cargo efficiently and safely, using cutting-edge technology and energy-efficient vehicles provided by Schneider Electric. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and delivery systems, aligning with our vision of innovation in energy technologies and sustainability. Safely transport materials and goods using a flatbed truck, adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance planning. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, optimize loads to ensure operational efficiency. Document and log work/rest periods, miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods), as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, collect and verify delivery instructions. Report defects, accidents, or violations and provide detailed reports for insurance or compliance requirements. Proven work experience as a truck driver with flatbed specific experience. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.). Strong time management and customer service skills.
