Join the team at Schneider Electric as a CDL-A Dedicated Flatbed Truck Driver for PODS, where you will be at the forefront of delivering efficient and sustainable transportation solutions. In this specialized driving role, you will operate flatbed trucks to transport PODS storage units directly to customers, ensuring safe and timely delivery in line with Schneider Electric's commitment to innovation in energy management and automation. Safely operate a flatbed truck to transport PODS containers to customer locations. Inspect vehicle for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, and ensure that cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements. Communicate with dispatch and respond to inquiries or emergency requests using communication tools. Proven work experience as a truck driver. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.). Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.).
