Pay Rate: $26.50 per hour JOB SUMMARY The CDL B Truck Driver is responsible for the effective delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations, ensuring incident-free operations while maintaining strong customer relations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites, adhering to all safety guidelines. Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift. Accept additional deliveries as needed to support operational requirements. Utilize handheld technology for delivery verification and navigation. Operate a forklift and/or overhead crane as necessary. Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are in excellent condition for customer delivery. Handle rental paperwork and payment coordination with customers. Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding any customer-related questions or issues, and prepare notes as required. Perform on-site repairs of containers and lifts when needed. Provide assistance at the storage center functions as required. Keep the truck cab clean and organized, free from debris. May perform other duties as assigned. MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Typically reports to Management. The direct supervisor's job titles may include Market Manager or Territory Manager. This position is NOT responsible for managing other employees (e.g., no hiring/termination and/or pay decisions or performance management). JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Valid CDL Class B License required without air brake restriction. Must maintain a current and valid driver license. Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards. Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement). Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or the ability to obtain a minimum of a 1-year certification (DOT requirement). Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred. Mathematical skills sufficient to perform required duties. Ability to attend a mandatory 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
