Job Summary:

As a Retail Cashier at Sun Outdoors Ocean City, you will report directly to our Retail Supervisor and work closely with them to ensure smooth and efficient operations of our on-site retail store. Your primary responsibilities will include providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Handling: Receive and visually inspect guest checks for any inaccuracies, ensuring proper payment methods (cash, credit card, or house charge) are applied. Guest Satisfaction: Ensure guests are satisfied with their shopping experience, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally. In the event of dissatisfaction, you’ll work with guests to find a satisfactory resolution. Accounting Compliance: Follow all accounting guidelines, verifying check totals, handling tip disbursements, and managing cash drawer and house bank procedures. End-of-Shift Responsibilities: Balance the house bank at the end of your shift, retrieving and returning the bank to the vault, ensuring accountability and accuracy in all transactions. This role requires a keen attention to detail, a friendly and approachable demeanor, and the ability to manage financial tasks accurately.
