Assist managers, servers, and cooks in providing quality food and beverage service to guests, according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas and equipment. Expedite food/tickets in a timely and organized manner. Stock all wares and equipment needed for service. Must have a flexible schedule and current CA Food Handler Certifications.
Primary Responsibilities:

Clean and set tables to restaurant standards
Deposit dishes appropriately in the dishroom or other specified area
Pull dirty plates from tables while guests are still seated
Serve beverages promptly
Stock bussing stations
Deliver required food plates or beverages as necessary
Assist in room service as needed
Assist other restaurant personnel with tasks when necessary
Understand a guest's service needs
Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
Work with minimal supervision
Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
Understand guests 'service needs
Takes pride in personal appearance and follows hotel grooming guidelines
Ability to be well organized
Set up and maintain proper mise en place and let supervisor know of any shortages
Maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to guests within any given period of time; ability to focus attention on details
Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/ champagne by the glass and all wines on the wine list
Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for drinks
Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, preparation method, ingredients, sauces, preparation time, garnishes, presentation and prices
Maintain good coordination and timing while serving orders quickly
Ability to exert physical effort in transporting food and beverage guests
Aptitude to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work areas
Be familiar with all Hotel services, features and local attraction, activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by liquor regulations as per TABC guidelines and provincial liquor codes
Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
Some previous experience in a luxury or ultra-luxury environment
